LIABILITY GUIDELINE
In the LTL shipping world, a carrier's liability coverage due to loss or damage is often times related to the freight class used and the commodity shipped. Below please find a general guideline that shows each carrier and their corresponding liability by class. Please keep in mind that this is just a general guideline as sometimes many other factors affecting a carrier's liability could be involved.
For example, when shipping new furniture with R & L Carriers, the liability is always $1 per lb. shipped, regardless of the class. This guideline is for new goods only.
